AFGHANI CHICKEN RECIPE

Ingredients required to make Chicken Afghani
- 1 kg chicken,
- Ginger garlic paste 2 tsp
- 15 cashews
- Finely chopped onion - 2
- Coriander powder - 2 tsp
- Bay leaf -3
- Half teaspoon turmeric powder
- Garam masala 1/2 tsp
- Red Kashmiri chili powder - 1 tsp
- Saffron
- a piece of cinnamon
- 100 gm milk,
- 1/2 tsp kasoori methi
- a cup of curd
- lime juice
- oil as required
- salt to taste

HOW TO MAKE
Method of making Afghani Chicken To make Afghani Chicken, first clean and wash the chicken pieces thoroughly. When the water is removed from the chicken pieces, pierce them with a knife or fork. In a bowl, add the pierced chicken pieces, curd, lemon juice, ginger garlic paste and a little salt and mix well.
Then keep the bowl in the fridge for two hours to marinate. Put two spoons of oil in a pan and keep it for heating. When the oil becomes hot, add cumin seeds, bay leaves, cardamom and cinnamon pieces and fry them. After that add finely chopped onion and ginger garlic paste to the pan and fry.
Now put oil in a pan and let it get hot on high flame. When the oil becomes hot, just pick up all the pieces of chicken and put them in the oil and keep the remaining cream mixture aside (for gravy). After putting the pieces in oil, let them fry for 2 minutes.
After 3 minutes turn it over with a spoon and let it fry from the other side. When red spots appear on the chicken pieces from both the sides, add the remaining mixture of Malai and mix.
Now close the pan lid and cook on medium flame for 10 minutes. Open the lid after 10 minutes, the gravy is done and the chicken has become very soft. Now put burning coal and one spoon of ghee in the bowl and smoke it.
PREPARATION TIME - 20 Minutes COOKING TIME - 35-40 Minutes.
TOTAL TIME - 50-55 Minutes SERVES - 5 Persons.
